The Bull City Business Institute (BCBI) is an intensive program planned and facilitated by Cristo Rey Research Triangle, our Job Partners, and faculty. In conjunction with the continuous development curriculum offered to all students throughout the year, the BCBI prepares students for success at their corporate jobs. All incoming first-year students must complete this training to be officially accepted to our school.

The BCBI equips students for their Corporate Work Study assignments with training in three key areas:

  • Personal Development: Students receive advice on public speaking, positive work attitude, and conflict resolution.

  • Business Etiquette: Students learn about professional behavior, attire, and phone etiquette, how to greet and converse with adults in the workplace, and how to be proactive during office downtime.

  • Entry-level Office Skills: Students learn how to operate copiers, fax machines, computers, and phone systems. They will also learn the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite, emphasizing Excel.

Purpose: to establish expectations, procedures, and protocols for the ninth-grade class to transition easily within Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School. 

 

  • Required Training for New Students (BCBI) Remote Work July 26-27, 2023.
  • Required Training for New Students (BCBI) On Campus July 28-August 11
 
  • BCBI Transportation: Starts on July 28, 2023
  • Attire: School Uniform, NO Crocs, Yeezy’s or sandals 
  • What to bring: backpack, folders (3) (for any loose handouts), spiral notebook, large binder, pens/pencils 
  • BCBI Hours: 7:50 am-2:25 pm
  • Attendance: Required of all ninth-grade students and tenth-grade transfer students
  • Draft Day: August 24, 2023, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
  • Lunch will be provided.

INFORMACION DE BCBI

 

  • Propósito: establecer expectativas, procedimientos y protocolos para la clase de noveno grado con el fin de hacer la transición con facilidad dentro de la Escuela Secundaria Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School.

 

  • Fechas: Orientación para nuevos estudiantes y familias 25 de julio de 2023
  • Capacitación requerida para nuevos estudiantes (BCBI) Trabajo remoto 26 y 27 de julio de 2023
  • Capacitación requerida para estudiantes nuevos (BCBI) en el campus del 28 de julio al 11 de agosto
  • Vestimenta: Uniforme escolar, NO Crocs, Yeezy’s o sandalias
  • Qué llevar: mochila, carpetas (3) (para cualquier folleto suelto), libreta de espiral, carpeta grande, bolígrafos/lápices
  • Horario de BCBI: 7:50am-2:25pm
  • Asistencia: Obligatoria para todos los estudiantes de noveno grado y estudiantes transferidos de décimo grado
  • Día de Colocación de CWSP - Draft Day: 24 de agosto 1-4pm
  • El CWSP le recuerda no programar citas en la jornada laboral del estudiante.
  • CWSP conlleva una calificación y se toma en considración junto al promedio GPA del estudiante
  • Se proporcionará almuerzo
  • Transporte BCBI: La transportación escolar comienza el 28 de julio de 2023
